What feminism looks like

Erin Devine and Shante Bullock of ArtWatch organized and curated a Nasty Women Exhibition & Auction to support Planned Parenthood and District of Columbia Arts Center. ArtWatch members raised $4459 for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and $1911 for our host, the DC Arts Center.

one house project

Ellyn Weiss and Jackie Hoysted conceived and led the One House Project hosted by Touchstone Gallery with support from the Touchstone Foundation for the Arts.  Over 220 local artists created a panel dedicated to an ancestor. 

The One House Project will be expanded and exhibited at the Black Rock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD in the fall of 2018. It is designed to be replicated anywhere in the country.

Guerilla art actions

Artwatch members supported the "March for Our Lives", a student-led demonstration in support of tighter gun control that took place on March 24, 2018, in Washington, D.C. Read about Guerilla Art Actions.
